end of the suid three years you will be given a free passage to England with full salary on the homeward voyage (the duration of which is taken as six weeks). if it is renewed your salary will be increased to £510 rising by two assual increments of #20 and two of £25 to £600 per annum.

3. The first contract of three years'service does not carry the right to long leave, but upon renewal of the contract the time already served counts for long leave in the future. The leave regulations are under consideration, but at present, so far as the exigencies of the service permit, the long leave granted (which is on full sterling pay) approximates to 9 months (in which a long vacation is included) after four and a half years actual service. Pree passages are at present paid in the case of officers proceeding on and returning from leave, 4. There is a goneral age limit for retirement of 60 years, à member of the University staff serving on a permanent contract may retire at any time on giving six months' notion.
